Founded in 2010, Hope Grows Community Farm offers faith-based therapeutic programs to children and families on a beautiful historical farm in Vermont’s Green Mountains. Through equine and agricultural activities, the farm helps build practical skills and teach life lessons while honoring God in a supportive environment. The organization offers a range of programs throughout the year, including riding lessons, community gardens, and equine-assisted therapies.
Among the farm’s most popular programs is its annual Saddle Up Camp. Held each summer and open to beginning riders from the ages of 8 to 18, Saddle Up teaches campers skills such as grooming, tacking, and basic riding techniques over the course of several half-day sessions. Participants are encouraged to wear long pants and boots with a heel for riding lessons and should be sure to bring a water bottle, snacks, and sunscreen.
Registration fees are $300 per camper. To learn more about the farm and its summer camp program, please visit www.hopegrowsfarm.org/summer-camps.
